Excuses

Sometimes I really feel that I am Lazy and make too many excuses. I am a stay at home mom of two kids under the age of two so you think I would have so much time on my hands to pray and read my bible but I find myself struggling. I tried getting up earlier or going bed later but then I am just to tired during the day. I have been praying about it and Praise the Lord he has been helping me. In the morning when the kids first wake up its a perfect time for me to read my bible because they are not very active yet and they have been taking afternoon naps so it gives me time to pray. Everyday is different and doesn't always end up like I plan but I am glad I am finding time throughout the day. I have been reading in Psalms lately and there are so many verses that inspire me and give me so much inspiration that no matter what the Lord is there ALWAYS through EVERYTHING!!!

Psalm 62: 1-2

1 I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.

I really like these two verses. I keep telling myself just to quietly wait for God because he has a plan for me and when he is ready he will use me for his will. Anyways on to the rest of my day and God bless all who read this!! Keep your eyes fixed on God even when it seems the quiet surrounds you!

Psalm Today!

I have been reading in Psalm lately and today while I was reading I decided to sing it instead of just read it and it makes such a big difference in my understanding. Here are a few verses that really grabbed me today:

Psalm 55:16-19

 (NLT)

16 But I will call on God,
and the Lord will rescue me.
17 Morning, noon, and night
I cry out in my distress,
and the Lord hears my voice.
18 He ransoms me and keeps me safe
from the battle waged against me,
though many still oppose me.
19 God, who has ruled forever,
will hear me and humble them.
Interlude

For my enemies refuse to change their ways;
they do not fear God.

I will be praying for comfort and peace for some loved ones in my life. I hope they realize that God has a plan for them and no matter what he will not let them go or stop loving them. God is my comfort and even my shield even against myself when I need it! Thank-you Lord for all you do! I hope all who read this have a wonderful day.

Prayer for today.

Lord please let my tongue be silent and my ears grow to listen.
Let my words be few and my heart open.
Discouragement is something that is so easy to find and so hard to come out of.....Let me see myself as you do. Let me love myself and my enemies the way you do. Let me only seek your approval and not the worlds. Let me live my life like you. Lord please help me find more time for you. Give me direction and give me discipline. Lord help me....only you can lead me and please let me not stray but only follow!

In Jesus Name,
Amen

What is God Speaking To You?

Today I read Psalm 42-49. I was caught by a few verses. The verses are:

Psalm 44:23-26 (NIV)

23 Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep?
Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.
24 Why do you hide your face
and forget our misery and oppression?
25 We are brought down to the dust;
our bodies cling to the ground.
26 Rise up and help us;
rescue us because of your unfailing love

A person is praying this to God but I was thinking what if it was switched around and God was telling this to us......Why do you sleep? Why do you reject me forever? Why do you hide your face? It really makes you think. Is God speaking this to you or has he been speaking this to you for a while now? Where are you with your relationship with Jesus? Are you hiding and still rejecting him when you know that Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
I think I will just leave it at that. While you read your bible and pray today ask the Lord to reveal to you, if you already don't know, if this is you.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

THANK-YOU LORD FOR ALL YOU DO!!

The women's retreat this weekend was awesome!!! God really worked some miracles in people's lives, including myself!!! Anyways God answers prayers and I just want to post a verse on here that the Lord really showed me this weekend and just renewed my faith even more and more in him!!!

Matthew 7:7
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Revelation 3:8
I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.

There are so many verses that I could keep typing but these are the ones that really said what the Lord spoke to me. Anyways to change the subject I am not going to be on here for a while. I feel that the Lord wants me to take the time and write out my testimony. I have so much to say and write and be thankful for that I am not sure how long it will take me. It may be half a page long or ten pages long but I know its something the Lord wants me to do and then share it to certain people in my life that he has already revealed to me. I will post it on here as soon as I am done and then get back to writing! Until then take care and I hope to be back soon!!!

Unforgivable sin??

Today I read Matthew 12. I want to start it off with a few verses....

Matthew 12:30-32
30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
 31 “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Here is my thought about about verse 32, does it mean if you just say a bad word about the Holy spirit you are not forgiven or if you falsely say you feel or have experienced something the holy spirit has done? So many things go through my head and I am not completely sure so this is something I know in my life I will have to pray about it to get revealed to me! Does it mean their is a unforgivable sin? Wow so lets all think of our life, what will happen if you did that? Does it mean on judgement day you won't be forgiven and enter the kingdom of God? Does it mean if only you live your life for Christ after you have done this you will? I don't know, honestly and I will just have to keep searching in the Bible to see what else it says about this. So in all honestly we all need to live our lives for Christ and try and make everyday to be more like him! We will NEVER be perfect but Jesus is and only through him can we even begin to strive for that. Let this be my prayer today that I become closer to God and try to live my life only for him and strive to be like him more and more everyday! Thank-you Lord for just giving me another chance to live my life for you and strive to be more like you!

Here is another verse that also caught my attention in my reading today:

Matthew 12:33
“A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.

What does it mean to be a Christian? If we only "act" like Christians but have no relationship with Christ what does that make us? What do Christians act like? I have heard it said many times and I believe that its not about religion but about a relationship.....a relationship with Jesus Christ! If you are reading your Bible, praying, fasting, trying to live your life everyday to more and more like Christ then I believe you are on your way. All we can do in this world is to strive and be more like him and the only way that we can do that is if we start to have a closer relationship with him. If your relationship is strong then your walk in Christ will be strong. Lets all think about right now if we were a tree (hypothetically) would our fruit be Delicious and tasty or smell and rotten? Which ever it may be there is STILL TIME TO CHANGE IT if its not so good or even if its good. Everyday is a new day to become closer to God and develop our relationship to him. If you have been a christian for a week or for 20 years, everyday you should be striving to become closer and make your fruit more delicious! lol yes I know a funny way to put it but its very true! Lets all further our relationship with Christ so we can become the tastiest fruit until we make it to our eternal home in heaven! One last question to leave you with? If you were an apple (hypothetically again) would Jesus like it or even want to eat it?

Great Day

Today I went to bible study so I am a little behind on making a post. We had a great lesson and my prayers were answered! My son did really well in nursery. He is improving on being around other children and my daughter also did well! That really makes me happy. I am going to a women's retreat this weekend so I may be late on posts or I might not even post depending on whats going on! I am very excited! It will be nice to be around other women of God and have a weekend break of taking care of my babies! My husband will get to really know what I go through day to day lol Anyways today I read Matthew 11. I really wanted to just reflect on what I was reading today as best I could so I only read one chapter. This chapter talked a lot about John the Baptist. Here are a few of the verses that caught my attention today!

                                                                     Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Psalm 73: 23-28
23 Yet I still belong to you;
      you hold my right hand.
 24 You guide me with your counsel,
      leading me to a glorious destiny.
 25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
      I desire you more than anything on earth.
 26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
      but God remains the strength of my heart;
      he is mine forever.
 27 Those who desert him will perish,
      for you destroy those who abandon you.
 28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God!
      I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter,
      and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

                                                                    Hebrews 11:1-3
 1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

The last few verses were actually from my bible study this morning. Hebrews Chapter 11 is a great chapter! All about faith and many many people from the old testament who had great faith! You should read it! It is just amazing to read about people like this and gives me a lot of inspiration for the future! Anyways I hope all who read this have a great day! take care!!
