Something I Hold True to My Life

Psalm 32
A psalm[a] of David.
1 Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
2 Yes, what joy for those
whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt,[b]
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
3 When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
Interlude

5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
Interlude

6 Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time,
that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.
7 For you are my hiding place;
you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory.
Interlude

8 The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”
10 Many sorrows come to the wicked,
but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD.
11 So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him!
Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

Give Me Peace Father

I have really had a stressful evening and night. I am writing on here due to this reason. Sometimes I just don't understand the ways of this world. It gets me so down when God does something for you, saves you from something and then BAM something is right there to slam the door in your face and try to take away all your victory. Well that is what almost happened tonight but Jesus intervened just in time and saved me! He always knows just the right time to step in. I am still shaken up about everything and even a little nervous and scared but I know my Father will hold me throughout the night and keep my family and I safe. I pray for peace and I pray for love. Here are a few verses for tonight.

Psalm 71:23 (CEV)

23You have rescued me! I will celebrate and shout,
singing praises to you
with all my heart.

Philippians 4:6-7 (CEV)

6Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. 7Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel

White As Snow

The kids are taking a nap and it gives me some time to myself so I just wanted to write a little to relieve some stress. Its been one of those days.The snow is falling like a blizzard outside. I really enjoy just watching it fall though and how beautiful it graces the trees and the ground. Its completely pure and completely white. I pray a lot that God will make me pure and white. I know that until the day he calls me to heaven I never will be but I don't want to stop striving for it. I have made so many mistakes in the past and done a lot of things I am not proud of. Even though all of that is under the blood it still affects me. I live and breath in the choices and bad decisions I made in the past. Some days are better than others but lately its been just bad. I have noticed that I really don't have any friends. I know I know sob story but its the truth. I pushed them all away years ago then I moved on and built a life with my husband and children and I never made time for anyone else so its just me. Its kind of sad actually that one day when my children are grown and all my family passes away that it may just be me. I guess I just lost that part of me somewhere. I don't want to hurt anyone like I did in the past but at the same time I don't want them to hurt me and I know that's an awful way to live but its just how it is sometimes. Sure I have some friends at church and occasionally we go and do things together but that's really it. Honestly I am happy with my life. I have a wonderful husband with a great career. Two beautiful children that I adore and love with all my being. A great place to live and nice things. I have a great church to go to and above all I have a God that loves me and forgives me things I haven't even done yet and he has forgiven me of my past and forgot about it. I shouldn't be complaining and really I'm not but it does get lonely moving around all the time with a military husband and its hard when I go back to Indiana and all my old friends really don't have much to say to me anymore...........I don't know. Too much on my mind lately and way to much time to think about it.
The summer is right around the corner so that means a lot of sunshine and fresh air. Goodness do I need both in my life....The winter is beautiful but the Summer smiles a whole lot more!

Isaiah 1:18 (NIV)
18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.

Psalm 51:7 (NLT)

7 Purify me from my sins,[a] and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow

Excuses

Sometimes I really feel that I am Lazy and make too many excuses. I am a stay at home mom of two kids under the age of two so you think I would have so much time on my hands to pray and read my bible but I find myself struggling. I tried getting up earlier or going bed later but then I am just to tired during the day. I have been praying about it and Praise the Lord he has been helping me. In the morning when the kids first wake up its a perfect time for me to read my bible because they are not very active yet and they have been taking afternoon naps so it gives me time to pray. Everyday is different and doesn't always end up like I plan but I am glad I am finding time throughout the day. I have been reading in Psalms lately and there are so many verses that inspire me and give me so much inspiration that no matter what the Lord is there ALWAYS through EVERYTHING!!!

Psalm 62: 1-2

1 I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.

I really like these two verses. I keep telling myself just to quietly wait for God because he has a plan for me and when he is ready he will use me for his will. Anyways on to the rest of my day and God bless all who read this!! Keep your eyes fixed on God even when it seems the quiet surrounds you!

Psalm Today!

I have been reading in Psalm lately and today while I was reading I decided to sing it instead of just read it and it makes such a big difference in my understanding. Here are a few verses that really grabbed me today:

Psalm 55:16-19

 (NLT)

16 But I will call on God,
and the Lord will rescue me.
17 Morning, noon, and night
I cry out in my distress,
and the Lord hears my voice.
18 He ransoms me and keeps me safe
from the battle waged against me,
though many still oppose me.
19 God, who has ruled forever,
will hear me and humble them.
Interlude

For my enemies refuse to change their ways;
they do not fear God.

I will be praying for comfort and peace for some loved ones in my life. I hope they realize that God has a plan for them and no matter what he will not let them go or stop loving them. God is my comfort and even my shield even against myself when I need it! Thank-you Lord for all you do! I hope all who read this have a wonderful day.

Prayer for today.

Lord please let my tongue be silent and my ears grow to listen.
Let my words be few and my heart open.
Discouragement is something that is so easy to find and so hard to come out of.....Let me see myself as you do. Let me love myself and my enemies the way you do. Let me only seek your approval and not the worlds. Let me live my life like you. Lord please help me find more time for you. Give me direction and give me discipline. Lord help me....only you can lead me and please let me not stray but only follow!

In Jesus Name,
Amen

What is God Speaking To You?

Today I read Psalm 42-49. I was caught by a few verses. The verses are:

Psalm 44:23-26 (NIV)

23 Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep?
Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.
24 Why do you hide your face
and forget our misery and oppression?
25 We are brought down to the dust;
our bodies cling to the ground.
26 Rise up and help us;
rescue us because of your unfailing love

A person is praying this to God but I was thinking what if it was switched around and God was telling this to us......Why do you sleep? Why do you reject me forever? Why do you hide your face? It really makes you think. Is God speaking this to you or has he been speaking this to you for a while now? Where are you with your relationship with Jesus? Are you hiding and still rejecting him when you know that Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
I think I will just leave it at that. While you read your bible and pray today ask the Lord to reveal to you, if you already don't know, if this is you.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!
