THANK-YOU LORD FOR ALL YOU DO!!

The women's retreat this weekend was awesome!!! God really worked some miracles in people's lives, including myself!!! Anyways God answers prayers and I just want to post a verse on here that the Lord really showed me this weekend and just renewed my faith even more and more in him!!!

Matthew 7:7
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Revelation 3:8
I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.

There are so many verses that I could keep typing but these are the ones that really said what the Lord spoke to me. Anyways to change the subject I am not going to be on here for a while. I feel that the Lord wants me to take the time and write out my testimony. I have so much to say and write and be thankful for that I am not sure how long it will take me. It may be half a page long or ten pages long but I know its something the Lord wants me to do and then share it to certain people in my life that he has already revealed to me. I will post it on here as soon as I am done and then get back to writing! Until then take care and I hope to be back soon!!!

Unforgivable sin??

Today I read Matthew 12. I want to start it off with a few verses....

Matthew 12:30-32
30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
31 “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Here is my thought about about verse 32, does it mean if you just say a bad word about the Holy spirit you are not forgiven or if you falsely say you feel or have experienced something the holy spirit has done? So many things go through my head and I am not completely sure so this is something I know in my life I will have to pray about it to get revealed to me! Does it mean their is a unforgivable sin? Wow so lets all think of our life, what will happen if you did that? Does it mean on judgement day you won't be forgiven and enter the kingdom of God? Does it mean if only you live your life for Christ after you have done this you will? I don't know, honestly and I will just have to keep searching in the Bible to see what else it says about this. So in all honestly we all need to live our lives for Christ and try and make everyday to be more like him! We will NEVER be perfect but Jesus is and only through him can we even begin to strive for that. Let this be my prayer today that I become closer to God and try to live my life only for him and strive to be like him more and more everyday! Thank-you Lord for just giving me another chance to live my life for you and strive to be more like you!

Here is another verse that also caught my attention in my reading today:

Matthew 12:33
“A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.

What does it mean to be a Christian? If we only "act" like Christians but have no relationship with Christ what does that make us? What do Christians act like? I have heard it said many times and I believe that its not about religion but about a relationship.....a relationship with Jesus Christ! If you are reading your Bible, praying, fasting, trying to live your life everyday to more and more like Christ then I believe you are on your way. All we can do in this world is to strive and be more like him and the only way that we can do that is if we start to have a closer relationship with him. If your relationship is strong then your walk in Christ will be strong. Lets all think about right now if we were a tree (hypothetically) would our fruit be Delicious and tasty or smell and rotten? Which ever it may be there is STILL TIME TO CHANGE IT if its not so good or even if its good. Everyday is a new day to become closer to God and develop our relationship to him. If you have been a christian for a week or for 20 years, everyday you should be striving to become closer and make your fruit more delicious! lol yes I know a funny way to put it but its very true! Lets all further our relationship with Christ so we can become the tastiest fruit until we make it to our eternal home in heaven! One last question to leave you with? If you were an apple (hypothetically again) would Jesus like it or even want to eat it?

Great Day

Today I went to bible study so I am a little behind on making a post. We had a great lesson and my prayers were answered! My son did really well in nursery. He is improving on being around other children and my daughter also did well! That really makes me happy. I am going to a women's retreat this weekend so I may be late on posts or I might not even post depending on whats going on! I am very excited! It will be nice to be around other women of God and have a weekend break of taking care of my babies! My husband will get to really know what I go through day to day lol Anyways today I read Matthew 11. I really wanted to just reflect on what I was reading today as best I could so I only read one chapter. This chapter talked a lot about John the Baptist. Here are a few of the verses that caught my attention today!

                                                                     Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Psalm 73: 23-28
23 Yet I still belong to you;
      you hold my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
leading me to a glorious destiny.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.
26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
      but God remains the strength of my heart;
      he is mine forever.
27 Those who desert him will perish,
for you destroy those who abandon you.
28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God!
I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter,
and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

                                                                    Hebrews 11:1-3
1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

The last few verses were actually from my bible study this morning. Hebrews Chapter 11 is a great chapter! All about faith and many many people from the old testament who had great faith! You should read it! It is just amazing to read about people like this and gives me a lot of inspiration for the future! Anyways I hope all who read this have a great day! take care!!

Faith

Today's reading Matthew 8-10. Throughout these chapters it showed the power of God. Many  people were healed and even brought back from the dead!! By Faith these people were healed! In your heart if you truly believe in God and asked forgiveness and have started to follow him, don't be surprised with the things you may start to experience. Just having faith can make miracles happen. In this day of time it is so hard to believe that people can be healed, brought back from the dead, demons brought out of them in the name of Jesus. If you honestly believe in him and have faith and NEVER give up....God will work wonders in your life and the ones around you!! There is a few verses I read a couple of days ago that really goes along with what I am saying.

                                                              Matthew 7:7-8
7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

There are times we pray for things and we don't get the answer we like or even an answer at all but remember that this may actually be the answer to your prayers! God knows what is best for all of us even if we try and think differently. We may not always understand what God is doing or what he wants in our life BUT he DOES and with faith and lots of prayer he will make it known to us! Here are a few more verses that talk about what I am trying to get across.

                                                            Matthew 10:38-39
38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Romans 8:28And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

                                                               Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Anyways I hope all who reads this has a wonderful day!! Just keep praying and keep your faith no matter what storm you are going through!! Praise the Lord even on the mountain top because you don't know when you may be down in the valley!!! Take care!

Another Great Day!

Today I read Matthew 5-7. So many great things in these passages. It talked about forgiveness, judging others, prayer, money, giving to the needy and so much more. Here are a few passages that spoke to me and I think a lot of people will recognize.

                                                                  Matthew 5:44-45
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

                                                                  Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

                                                                  Matthew 6:31-34
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today

                                                                  Matthew 7:13-14
13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

WOW! There are so many great verses in these chapters that I decided not to type all of them that spoke to me. The third set of verses I wrote really spoke to me. Since I am now a mother I tend to worry about EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!! Will my children have enough to eat? clothes to wear? someone to care for them? talk to them? take care of them?......etc etc!! If you can think it...I have probably thought about it and worried about it. I just want the best for my children and I always want to know that they are getting everything they could possibly need. I know that is an actually sin to worry and its something that the Lord is helping me with everyday! I think about now how much God loves me and sent his only son to die for me! He really must of loved me to sacrifice his child. So why should I worry? The utmost maker of the world loves me and MY children. Aren't they in the best hands.....yes I have to say. I know the the Lord is working on me and helping me to give all my worries about my children to him and helping me to realize that he has got this!! I mean he really has got this and will love and protect and provide everything that we could possibly need to us. All I know is that I am thankful to have such a great God! Thank-you Lord for giving us EVERYTHING we need!!!!

I am a Friend of God!!!!

Today I decided to start reading in Matthew. I read chapters 1-4. There were a lot of passages that caught my attention but actually it was in a sidebar that really caught my attention. I just bought myself a new bible, It is called the Sanctuary bible and it is in the New Living Translation. Anyways, every couple chapters there is a sidebar called my daily sanctuary and it is kind of a devotion and well today there was a verse with it and it really caught my attention! Here it is!!
(John 15: 12-15)
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Sometimes it is hard for me to realize that God considers us his friend!! how many times have we all let him down and hurt him but yet he still loves us!! He really loves us and considers us HIS FRIEND!! If that is all I ever have than that's ok with me, to be a friend to the Lord almighty!!! What a great day it is EVERYDAY to know that! This also reminds me of one of my favorite songs called I am a friend of God by Israel and New Breed. That song has really got me through a lot of things. Sometimes when things were not going so well and I felt so alone that song really just made me realize that through it ALL I am a friend of God and he is the creator of all things so why should I fret?? I mean he actually sent his son to die for us, HOW AMAZING??? Who in your life would die for you even if you were their enemy and hated you? Well anyways I just feel so blessed today, I mean really blessed to know that God is my friend and he loves me so much. On to the rest of my day!!

I am thirsty Lord......

What does it mean to be thirsty or to have a thirst for something? Does it mean you need a drink of water to refresh your body? When you are thirsty for something does it mean you crave it? Have to have it? Need it? Want it so bad you would do just about anything to quench the feeling? Yes I believe that is what thirst is but not so much a physical thing but a spiritual one. Are you thirsty? Thirsty for the one who died for you a sinner's death and gave EVERYTHING up just so you could have LIFE? Lets get down to it...am I thirsty for God? Am I so parched that if I cannot get just one sip I may just fall over and die?? Well honestly there are days I am not. I love the Lord and I know he died for me and the only way to fill my cup and drink is through him but even still the flesh takes over sometimes and things get in the way. I want to be so thirsty for God everyday that I cannot even put my feet on the ground in the morning unless I am willing to let God completely take over every desert in my life and let it flood with his rain.

Psalm 143:6 "I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched  land thirst for rain."

Let this be my prayer today that God Will make me thirsty......thirsty for him, thirsty to have his will done in my life and in others....thirsty to sacrifice everything that I have.......thirsty enough to pray and pray and PRAY and then PRAY some more even if I don't get the answer that I would like.....thirsty to read my bible and learn everything he has provided for me to make it through this life........thirsty to lift my hands and praise him no matter what storm I am going through or what mountain I am standing on top of. Let this be our prayer each and everyday. Lets get thirsty!!!! For God and GOD ALONE is the ONLY one who can REALLY quench our thirst and refresh us over and over and over again despite everything in this world! Thank-you Lord! I pray I have a very thirsty day!!!
